What are you eating?

Boy, do we all love to eat.  It is socially a lot of fun without even getting into how good your favorite dish tastes.  I love going to Little Italy in Boston and eating at one of our favorite restaurants.  I love the eggplant parmesan and the tomatoe/mozeralla salad.  yummie!!!!
During my Bible reading this morning, Proverbs 13:2 jumped out at me talking about eating well.  It says "A man shall eat well by the fruit of his mouth but the soul of the unfaithful feeds on violence"  When we feed our body well with good physical food, we promote good health and when we feed our soul (mind, will & emotions) with the right spiritual food or the right words we stay well or healthy in our soul and body.  This is saying that those who are faithless will feed on issues of death not life.  When we are always feeding on the negative situations it feeds negativity, hurt and damage.  What goes in is what comes out, whether TV, radio, internet, gossip, complaining or negativity.  I heard a story that a grandfather from the Cherokee Nation told his grandson.  " A fight is going on inside each of us between two wolves.  One wolf is evil, ugly, angry, warring, greedy, with self-pity, sorrow, regret, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, selfishness & arrogance and the other wolf is beautiful, good, friendly, joyful, with peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, justice, fairness, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, gratitude and deep vision.  The grandson asked, "Which wolf will win?"  His grandfather answered, "The wolf that you feed."  I don't believe we have 2 wolves inside but sometimes we may act like it.  What are you feeding your soul? If we will feed and speak God's word then I know our souls will be full of good fruit.  And the only way is to set goals for reading more of God's word than ever before, fasting wrong words and speaking God's.  I have decided to read 10+ chapters everyday so to feed my soul & spirit the right food to produce the right fruit.  I know it is working.  I had a opportunity the other night during a phone call to express some rotten fruit but thank God I have been feeding on good spiritual food and kept my mouth shut.  What are you eating?
